EMAIL – Choir

Sharing some musical favourites amongst members of choir through email The choir leads the singing for the Fellowship@10 Sunday services and often sings a piece relevant to the theme of the service. Most times the piece is rehearsed only on the day of the service and so choir members can walk up to the rehearsal. Fellowship@10 (worship)

Fellowship @10 is a relaxed traditional style worship service led by one of our ministers assisted by lay participants.  The worship is planned by the minister and worship planning teams and does not follow a set order.  The music emphasis is on traditional hymns accompanied by the organ but also includes more modern hymns and contemporary songs.  A choir practices at 9.15am prior to the service and often contributes to the worship. Green Sage Morning Coffee Group

Now meeting at Green Sage while adhering to COVID restrictions MUC ladies and friends come together to enjoy a coffee/tea and a weekly catch-up. Special Birthdays are celebrated and the ladies support each other in times of need. Emerging Church (Worship)

Emerging Church is an opportunity to explore our relationship with God as followers of Jesus. We do this using many varieties of music, images, meditation, ritual and reflection. A time of reflection at the end of the day Masks, social distancing and hand sanitizing requirements will be observed. Men’s Social Tennis

The “Could Have Beens” meet every alternate Monday evening at 7.30pm, for a couple of hours’ social tennis, followed by cheese, refreshments and convivial conversation covering all manner of subjects. Skill levels unimportant. Around 8-12 players attend, so we manage a couple of sets each. Occasionally non-players come along just for the conversation. New participants are most welcome. Stepping out walkers – individual or in a pair

COVID Alternative A suggestion is to start from Victoria st carpark or the Boulevard carpark and do the circuit.   At your leisure.   You can be alone exercising or with one other –  keeping in mind social distancing. A walking group that has been going for 20 years. Perhaps we do not walk as far these days but we enjoy getting together monthly, supporting each other and our walks are always finished at a Café with coffee. Walks in a different location…

Westcare

Westcare is a friendly group that provides company for people during the day every 1st and 3rd Wednesday.  We commence with morning tea (provided) and a chat, trim stamps for Sammy Stamp Fund until 12.30pm when we prepare for lunch.  Each person brings their own sandwich/salad and cake is provided with another cuppa. MUC Knitters Group

Ladies with a common interest in knitting come together to create warm garments and soft toys for newly arrived refugees and asylum seekers and enjoy afternoon tea together. Donations of yarn are appreciated. This will be a time to share what you have been knitting and to hear about a new opportunity to help Aboriginal people in palliative care. Café Church (Worship)

We worship together with a discussion on all aspects of daily living and current issues (not necessarily religious ones). Occasionally the topics are challenging which promotes lively and thoughtful conversation. Hospitality is about seeing Jesus in ordinary people. MUC Connections – Supporting refugees and people seeking asylum

MUC Connections is a group of people who encourage one another to connect with, support and advocate for refugees and people seeking asylum. Activities include speakers, petitions, organising food, and toy drives; making up toiletry packs to give to newly arrived refugees, activities to raise awareness, and fundraising for organisations that support people seeking asylum.
