Hot Cross Bun Fundraiser

Let’s Raise Some Dough! In conjunction with Ferguson Plarre, the Manningham Uniting Church Connections group are raising some much needed funds for Act for Peace who are supporting the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza. This is your opportunity to help the innocent people. As such we’re fundraising through the sale of Traditional Hot Cross Buns. $9 per half dozen and profits will be directed to Act for Peace. These are great fresh, toasted, and for those that like to have the sneaky one outside of the Easter season…

The Great Escaper – Movie & Lunch Fundraiser

Manningham Uniting Church’s Connections group are hosting a movie fundriaser to help raise funds to assist Refugees settling in Australia. This is an amazing fundraiser where you experience a blockbuster movie and lunch afterwards. The Movie show case will be the Great Escaper –  A 2023 biographical drama film directed by Oliver Parker, written by William Ivory, and starring Michael Caine and Glenda Jackson. It is based on the true story of 89-year-old British World War II Royal Navy veteran Bernard Jordan who “broke out” of his nursing home to attend the 70th anniversary D-Day commemorations…

Easter Labyrinth

The Labyrinth goes back to Greek mythology and was apparently built to house a “beast” so it couldn’t get out! However, it has frequently been used as a Spiritual practice and aid to meditation. This is the purpose of our Labyrinth during Easter week. Some have been grown as part of a garden, but many simpler ones, like ours, are used indoors.
