Father God, we struggle with death and its finality. It is so difficult to let go. Encourage us to share with others our grief as expressions of our love for a life well lived. Amen

Father God, create in us a sensitive heart as we share the grief of others and that of ourselves. As we care for others, may we find peace in a God who loves us dearly. Amen

Father God, we become far too anxious about the future. Plant in us the seed of courage so we can live each day by faith in the hope that tomorrow will be a better place for all the peoples. Amen.

Father God, help us to live by the spirit, God’s gift of Hope to his people. May we live out this Hope with others we meet as we engage in the ordinary lives of friends and family. Amen

Insert prayer in herFather God, we give thanks for our families and a safe place to rest. We see the destructive force of torrential rains in different parts of the world. Move us to share what we have with those who have nothing. Amen

Lord please help us when we are spiritually blind, stuck in the ways we have known and blind to a belief and the grace that can free us to love and be loved as Jesus has shown us. Amen

Lord, please give us the eyes to see with clear vision as we think about your gifts and your messages to us. May we find your love and messages in our every day lives, and have the vision to notice. Help us to follow your leading and to focus on sharing your love with others. Amen

Mother/Father God, open our eyes and clear our vision as we try to walk in your ways. As we look with greater purpose may we find your love and example in others, and be surprised in the way your grace is revealed to us. Amen

Lord, may we each have the grace to purposefully stop to examine and illuminate our ways and habits and to think clearly about how we can best follow the teachings of Jesus every day. Amen

Lord, may we value the gift of our bodies and minds and care for them as we are able so we can be ready to respond to your leading and do our best to walk with others. Amen

Lord, may we value the gifts of others when we meet them, striving to see them for the persons that they really are, from all walks of life, and not judging by first perceptions. Amen

Forgiving father, sometimes we divert from what we know is correct. You do not turn us away when we do wrong. Amen.

Provider God, we thank you for continuing to know what we need and your ability to provide for us. Amen

Dear Lord. Help us challenge the socially accepted norms. We are all God’s children. We can all drink from the one well. Amen

Redeeming God, thank you for sending your son to us. Amen

Protector Lord, thank you for being our compass and constant companion. You light our pathway, especially when it is dark. Help us carry this light wherever we travel, with every step. Amen.

Provider God, thank you for travelling with us on our journey. You equip us and provide everything we need. Amen

Father God, we have often seen our neighbour as the person next door. Help us to see our neighbour as loved by God. Amen.

Father God, open our ears to the sound of those still living in poverty because of fire. The need is not always the talk, but to act, to care, to restore life around them. May we actively find time to act and not just talk. Amen
