Lord please help us when we are spiritually blind, stuck in the ways we have known and blind to a belief and the grace that can free us to love and be loved as Jesus has shown us. Amen
To Ponder
The healing of the blind man, who believed, and the resulting conversation with the Pharisees as they argued and questioned the caring, healing actions of Jesus against their own ‘open-eyed’ interpretation of the Sabbath, of work, of the hand of God as they proclaimed it, challenges our thinking today. How can we too accept people for exactly who they are and treat them with equality, compassion and shared strength, held in God’s love?
