Prayer
Father God, create in us a sensitive heart as we share the grief of others and that of ourselves. As we care for others, may we find peace in a God who loves us dearly. Amen
To Ponder
Lazarus, a close friend of Jesus is ill. To the surprise of many, Jesus delays two days before leaving to go to be with his friend. We are not told what Jesus was doing during those two days. Many of us have faced these times of anguish and uncertainty. Our mind becomes cluttered with grief and indecision. Perhaps, we might pause for a moment to ask the question, “what would Jesus do?”
