Prayer
Father God, we become far too anxious about the future. Plant in us the seed of courage so we can live each day by faith in the hope that tomorrow will be a better place for all the peoples. Amen.
To Ponder
Many years ago, Joan and I would drive down to Melbourne. The night dark, the hour late. Then, in the distance, a warm glow, the flicker of many lights in the distance as Melbourne came into sight. Hope can only look forward. It takes patience, it moves at its own speed for we cannot control Hope. Perhaps, as we look back, we can trace those moments of Hope, and pause to give thanks.
