EMAIL – Choir

Sharing some musical favourites amongst members of choir through email The choir leads the singing for the Fellowship@10 Sunday services and often sings a piece relevant to the theme of the service. Most times the piece is rehearsed only on the day of the service and so choir members can walk up to the rehearsal. Via zoom – MUC Pilgrim Patchworkers

MUC Pilgrim Patchworkers make quilted knee rugs that are given to church members and friends who are struggling with health issues, etc. We make banners, single bed quilts for Australian military personnel serving overseas, bags sent to Africa, quilts for refugees etc. All items are given away, nearly all materials used are supplied. We sew together in a private home and may take items home to finish. We try various patterns to learn new skills. No-one is an expert, all…

Via Email Green Sage Morning Coffee Group

Meeting via email given current COVID restrictions MUC ladies and friends come together to enjoy a coffee/tea and a weekly catch-up. Special Birthdays are celebrated and the ladies support each other in times of need. Via Zoom -Tuesday Mens’ Coffee Group – The Grumpies

Encouraging to gather at 3pm via zoom and have had cuppa each Tuesday This is a very informal group of retired men that meets at Michel’s at The Pines Shopping Centre every Tuesday to enjoy the coffee and try to solve the world’s problems, so far without any success. Stepping out walkers – individual or in a pair

COVID Alternative A suggestion is to start from Victoria st carpark or the Boulevard carpark and do the circuit.   At your leisure.   You can be alone exercising or with one other –  keeping in mind social distancing. A walking group that has been going for 20 years. Men’s Social Tennis

The “Could Have Beens” meet every alternate Monday evening at 7.30pm, for a couple of hours’ social tennis, followed by cheese, refreshments and convivial conversation covering all manner of subjects. Skill levels unimportant. Around 8-12 players attend, so we manage a couple of sets each. Occasionally non-players come along just for the conversation. New participants are most welcome. MUC Connections is a group of people who encourage one another to connect with, support and advocate for refugees and people seeking asylum. Activities include speakers, petitions, organising food, and toy drives; making up toiletry packs to give to newly arrived refugees, activities to raise awareness, and fundraising for organisations that support people seeking asylum.
