This year’s service, written by the World Day of Prayer Committee of Palestine, offers an opportunity to join with them in prayer. The day promotes informed prayer and prayerful action for the women of a focus country.
Speaker: Dr Colleen O’Reilly AM
The Venerable Dr Colleen O’Reilly AM is an Anglican priest and archdeacon of Stonnington, ordained in 1995. She was previously the Vicar of St George’s Malvern from 2007-2019. Despite her Irish name, Colleen is a lifelong Anglican. She is the mother of two sons, and grandmother to three who live in London. Originally from Sydney, Colleen has lived in UK and USA before making Melbourne home in 1994 when she became Associate Dean of the then Melbourne College of Divinity, now the University of Divinity. She is Co-Chair of the Victorian Council for Christians and Jews and has been to Israel/Palestine on four pilgrimage trips. Colleen is married to Fr Walter McEntee, the former Chaplain to Melbourne Girl’s Grammar School.
