Emerging Church worship is held on the third Sunday of each month at 5.00pm followed by a shared meal. This service provides an opportunity to enter a sacred space and engage with the spiritual dimension of life, inspired by Jesus the teacher
and the God he loved. This service includes music, images, readings, reflection on a theme, song, ritual and silence. This service takes place in The Chapel.
Emerging Church is an opportunity to explore our relationship with God as followers of Jesus. We do this using many varieties of music, images, meditation, ritual and reflection.
Our theme for 2022 is ‘Health – in Body, Mind and Spirit’.
Emerging Church will ‘emerge’ from our Covid affected absence in 2021 to ‘normal’ services in 2022 and we are excited to invite all to come along. We usually have our services on the third Sunday of the month from February to November, at 5.00pm.
They last about 40 mins.
Our services are different to conventional services
and contain no liturgy. We use images, music, and meditation along with thoughts that aim to have us thinking along less conventional lines. Because of
the building Dedication, our first gathering for 2022 will be on February 27th in the Chapel.
After the service, we share in bread and wine and a light meal together – as Jesus did with all his friends – most appropriate in this year of ‘Hospitality’.
