Lord, may we value the gift of our bodies and minds and care for them as we are able so we can be ready to respond to your leading and do our best to walk with others. Amen
To Ponder
We are told that when Saul became troubled and unwell, David matured and followed God. He developed skills in speech, writing and music and was brave as a warrior. He was called to join Saul’s court to play for and relax him. How are we called to develop in mind and body in a balanced way, and to be ready to serve God’s will? We are given our bodies as a gift – how should we each understand and use this gift to help and support others?
