English Conversation Class – Cooking

Cooking is always a popular pastime so Wendy and I decided to ‘give it a go’ with the English Conversation Class, on 31 May, 2019.    We began by explaining the origins of Australian damper, and Wendy showed them a Camp Oven she had brought along, and explained its workings. Messy Church comes to Family@10

On Sunday 24 March the members of Family @10 had a new and exciting experience when we undertook Messy Church. Various stations were set up throughout the church, foyer and downstairs where we could explore the theme of Food in the Bible. March Combined Service

On March 17, 2019 a Manningham Uniting Church had a combined service (all worshipping service worshipped together). Andi Jones from Lentara was the guest speaker providing an insight into the work of Lentara Andi Jones was very enthusiastic about telling us about the work that Lentara is involved with and we were very impressed. Ash Wednesday Service

Ash Wednesday begins the Christian season of Lent.  Ashes are a physical reminder or a symbol of our mortality, an image about dying to one life and being raised to another. Day of Mourning photos

Sunday 20th January 2019 was declared a Day of Mourning by the Assembly of UCA and all congregations were encouraged to hold worship services that reflected on the effects of colonization on Australia’s First Peoples and our identity as a nation. The Day allowed us to stand together in remembering the truth of our history, and honouring the culture of Australia’s First Peoples.
