Worship Fully

There’s a reason that Worship Fully is the first tenet of Advent Conspiracy. We believe that when our hearts are orientated toward Christ, the rest of the tenets will fall into place. The way we spend, give and love will radically change when it come from a place of true worship

Bible Readings

Ps. 124
Isa. 54:1–10
Matt. 24:23–35

Prayer

Lord, thank you for standing by us, for being our help, despite us being engulfed by the world’s brokenness

Reflection

Psalm 124 tells the story of David and the pilgrims in Jerusalem, giving thanks to God for past help and expressing confidence in his continuing help – the God that does not desert us despite our straying from what is good and true. In today’s world, full of uncertainties, climate concerns, inequality, those that would exert power and control over so many, may we stop and focus on enacting the ways of God as demonstrated by Jesus, whose life beginnings we celebrate at Christmas. May we know that God is constantly before us, behind us and beside us as we walk in this world every day, inviting others to know him too
