The Problem of Evil in a World Created by a Good God
Three weekly seminars September 14, 21, 28
There is no more intractable problem for believers in a good God than the existence of evil.
- Why should a world created by a good God contain the amount of pain and suffering it evidently does?
- Why didn’t God create a world without evil?
The seminars will examine these and many other aspects of the problem from everyday experience, plus science, philosophy and the theology of the 21st century. No particular expertise in this area is needed for these seminars; just your life!
Lorraine Parkinson has been writing and teaching about this topic for over 30 years, studying it at Melbourne University, the United Faculty of Theology, and St Deiniol’s Library in Wales.
