Twich Women’s is a not-for-profit organisation that was established by a small group of women from the Twich community of South Sudan to support inter-cultural communication and cooperation, and establish opportunities for education and employment. The experiences of Twich women assimilating into Australian society inspired the development of the Twich organisation, which provides refugees, asylum seekers, and other disadvantaged people with opportunities for training in a Certificate III in Clothing Production, in association with RMIT University.
Collective members will facilitate a sewing workshop where you will make a cushion inspired by South Sudanese Culture. A Sudanese lunch will be provided as part of the workshop and you will also get to hear more about traditions from the Twich community.
A rich and unique experience.
