Father God, we become anxious for our safety. We don’t like disruptions, or unexpected phone calls. Give us the courage to step out and act on the promises of God. Amen.
Knitting group gathered today for a yarn!
The MUC knitting group recommenced for their first gathering for 2023! They met in the spacious Community Space 6 and had a great afternoon knitting. They create (knit or crochet) warm garments and soft toys for newly arrived refugees and asylum seekers For those interested, the group meets on the 4th Monday of the month at 1:30pm. Father God, we at times struggle to understand and work with boundaries. Even when they are written down, we prefer to exercise our own boundaries at the expense of others. Remind us of our responsibility to care for and support those around us. Amen

Father God, we are reminded again of God’s Grace. Let us rest in this simple truth even though it is at times so difficult to understand. Amen

Father God, open our eyes and our minds to the tears of creation. Under the beauty of a rainbow, let us see the deep scars of soil erosion. Remind us of our responsibility to till and keep your precious garden. Amen

Both services on Sunday 5 February were looking at the Matthew chapter 5 versus 13-20 reading. Looking a salt and light. Day of Mourning
The Day of Mourning Service was held at Westerfolds Park Sunday 22 January 2023. This Christmas and beyond, Lord, please open our eyes, ears, mouths, and hearts to celebrate the coming of Jesus and the sharing of God’s love and grace in the world
May we, individually and collectively, choose to share that love in some way, large, small, silently, nurturing, feeding, listening, praying, advocating, visiting, planting seeds with the people we know, those we meet and with those strangers who will become friends

Help us to be sensitive, to listen, and in those quiet moments to show others something of God’s love

Father God, each day we turn on the news we are reminded of climate change, the war in Ukraine, inflation, and interest rates
Encourage us to reach out, to sit with, to share our hope for all people everywhere, in the form of one called Jesus
