Knitting, he thought, was a comfort to the soul. It was regular. It was repetitious. And, in the end, it amounted to something.Jan Karon, At Home in Mitford
Our World Knitting Day was such a success in 2019 that we decided to do it again this year.
How? you might ask, given the corona virus restrictions on social distancing.
The answer to everything these days seems to be ‘Zoom’, so we thought we would give it a go!
Saturday 13th June at 2 p.m. is the time to join us for a knitting session like no other; there will be experts available to help you if you are a first timer and patterns for you to follow.
We will be knitting squares which will be put together to make rugs, also scarves, beanies and other winter woollies to give to refugee families.
Wool and needles can be delivered to you if you don’t have your own and we will gladly accept any offers of donated wool (particularly 8ply) would be appreciated.
