After the huge success of Spring Together 2018 at Merricks Lodge, we will again be gathering together to grow as a community of faith on the weekend of October 25-27.
Spring Together 2019 will be a fantastic time of fellowship, festivities and fun. There will be activities for everyone including canoeing, bushwalking, small group discussions, worship and importantly marshmallow toasting on the campfire. This years theme will explore the issues surrounding Climate Change and how we as a faith community can respond both as individuals and as a church.
Camp will kick off on Friday evening with a delicious dinner from our home grown amazing chefs followed by board games, campfire and supper. Saturday will begin with small group time and an intergenerational activity where we will learn from each other and creatively express our thoughts on Climate Change. Saturday will also give us the chance to explore the peninsula or delve deeper into the science of Climate Change or test your skills at canoeing.
The evening will host the annual MUC Record Breaking event where we will discover who can build the tallest tower of 50 cent pieces, balance a broom on one finger and tear the longest mintie wrapper. After a scrumptious Sunday breakfast we will head down to the beach at Point Leo to ramble through the rock pools before returning for lunch and community worship.
The campsite offers comfortable private rooms for couples, families and individuals with shared bathroom facilities as well as a large rec room, basketball court and quiet reflection zones, all in a beautiful bushland setting.
It’s a great weekend for families and getting to know each other better
Last year the food was so amazing! I’ve registered already for 2019!Chris
